Shareholders David Thies and John Thies traveled to Zurich, Switzerland in late June to attend the annual meeting of the Legus International Network of Independent Law Firms. Webber & Thies has been associated with this organization for twenty-five years. The agenda of the conference was devoted to educational programming to build expertise and help member firms stay on top of current trends. Specific topics included regulatory regimes in an era of international sanctions (and their impact on clients), Artificial Intelligence, and managing law firms in an environment of multi-generational clients, lawyers and staff. Aside from the educational benefits to the firm, Webber & Thies’s membership in Legus helps the firm’s clients in need of referrals to law firms throughout the United States and around the world.
