Professional Experience

Mr. Brusatte has experience in a wide range of legal matters. He has represented clients in state and federal litigation, assisted businesses and organizations with routine and complex operational issues, aided employees with issues related to their employment, and provided representation in matters before administrative bodies such as the National Labor Relations Board and the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.

Prior to joining Webber & Thies, Mr. Brusatte clerked for U.S. District Judge Colin S. Bruce in the Central District of Illinois (2014-2018), and before that was staff attorney for the Illinois Third District Appellate Court (2011-2014). Through these positions, he gained experience with a wide variety of complex civil and criminal litigation, at both the trial and appellate levels.

Professional Activities

  • Mr. Brusatte is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Champaign County Bar Association, and a former member of the La Salle County Bar Association.
  • He currently serves as the Secretary of the ISBA’s Standing Committee on Judicial Evaluation–Outside Cook County and is registered with the ISBA’s “Lawyers in the Classroom” program which seeks to educate elementary and high school students about the American legal system.

Civic and Philanthropic Involvement

  • Mr. Brusatte has provided pro bono representation to indigent plaintiffs in federal civil rights cases in the Central District of Illinois.
  • He is a graduate of the 2019 Emerging Community Leaders Program through the United Way of Champaign County.
