Land of Lincoln Legal Aid Celebrates 50 Years of Service

The Land of Lincoln Legal Aid organization celebrated its 50th anniversary at the Colonnades Club at Memorial Stadium on April 7, 2022. Supreme Court Justice Rita Garman shared, “We celebrate how far we’ve come, and I challenge you all to do even more to serve justice.” Webber & Thies Shareholder, John Thies, also spoke at the event reminding attendees of the indispensability of the private bar in achieving the mission of Land of Lincoln. He was president of the 65 county organization from 2016-2020. LOLLA exists to serve eligible low-income and senior residents of central and southern Illinois with high quality civil legal services in order to obtain and maintain their basic needs.
