Professional Experience
Mr. Hanson concentrates his practice in the areas of litigation, business representation, employment and insurance.
Prior to joining Webber & Thies, Mr. Hanson was a Legal Fellow with the Office of the Illinois Attorney General, a Judicial Extern for the Hon. Brigid Mary McGrath (Ret.) in the Law Division in Cook County, and an Intern with the Chicago Transit Authority Law Department, Circuit Court of Cook County Law Division, and the LaSalle County State’s Attorney’s Office.

- Mr. Hanson is a member of the Champaign County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.
- He currently serves as a member of two of the ISBA’s Section Councils: Business Advice and Financial Planning, and the Young Lawyer’s Division.
- During law school, he was an Associate Editor of the Elder Law Journal and a member of the 2020 Evans National Moot Court Team.

Five Things Most People Don’t Know About Damian
1As a sophomore in high school, Damian was a part of a leadership program that traveled through the South Pacific for a month: Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia. This is where he met his wife, Evie.
2Damian’s father, an oral surgeon in Chicago, has pulled all of his five kids’ wisdom teeth, except Damian’s. This is because he was born without any wisdom teeth.
3In high school, Damian successfully incorporated the word “shenanigans” into every single paper, regardless of subject; only his sophomore English teacher noticed.
4Damian was a part of a Philosophy Senior Research Group at Creighton University, studying the Metaphysics of Race. They were the first undergraduate students to present their paper at the 35th Annual ISP Conference at Oakland University, hosted by the North American Society for Social Philosophy.
5Damian and Evie are on a mission to visit all the Presidential Libraries around the country; they have so far been to 7 of the 13 currently built.
